Also Romania were the only team to have no players who could have played for another country. England apparently had 12 through various ancestry, which doesn't include Dier on the list (presumably with EU passports his family never had any need to get Portugese citizenship so he was never officially eligible for them anyway).

Interesting fact is that 25% of all the players at the Euro play in the EPL.

Not technically accurate - 25% who play in English leagues (including Welsh teams). Which is not surprising given that England, Wales, Republic of Ireland, and Northern Ireland were all at the EURO, so their squads take up a very large portion of the 25%.

'Yet a quarter of the 552 players going to Euro 2016 play in the English leagues'

I completely agree with this dude's video right here. Completely nails it. Yes it wasn't the most exciting tournament, but the truth is France were very underwhelming in the final (and very complacent in the first half after Ronaldo was subbed off) whereas Portugal played an excellent game defensively with great performances from Pepe and Rui Patricio. Portugal won it, whether you like it or not. Other teams perhaps were "better", but if you don't win you don't deserve shark just for being the better team.

I personally think that Ronaldo deserve to win a european comp with portrugal, I am 100% sure that if portrugal didn't win the final Ronaldo would have retired from international football.
