Saw him with Biffy Clyro in Auckland last year.

Couldn't be happier that he's back and joined us

A goal every three games in quite a few of his stints. That's a pretty decent ratio.

Him & Kopa only briefly crossed paths on the park in Poland, from what I can see. One match Sheridan played 90 mins, Kopa came on in injury time, finishing 0-0. Other match, Kopa played 90 mins, Sheridan came on 62nd minute, with Sheridan's team scoring only goal of the match with a few minutes to go.

It took me a while to figure out Rudan's tactics:  to have enough players on the park who can understand Polish cursing when Kurto starts swearing at them from behind.  Kopa is a native speaker, Sheridan had two seasons in the less-than-cosmopolitan Polish provincial city of Bialystok so he picked up lots already. And even Taylor is bound to understand some Polish cursing (assuming he ever needed plumbing work done on his house in UK).

Yes pro footballers are known for using their downtime, to study a 2nd language or learn fine art painting.

Not just play FIFA 19, and date pop stars.

Bialystok? That's where Esperanto was invented. In 1888 it was part of the Russian Empire and had 4 major languages (Polish, Russian, German, Yiddish) and an eye doctor called Zamenhof thought a neutral language would solve a lot of problems.

Frommers seem to agree...

While Biaystok's blend of classical attractions, like an Old Town, interspersed with Communist-era structures does yield unexpectedly enjoyable explorations, you don't need to budget much time for the city itself. Instead, use it as your base and allocate time for visiting the points of interest outside the city.

I liked Olsztyn when I visited in 2008.  So much transition in Poland.

Watched him play a few times at Argyle while Rory was gaining WC qualification glory.  Didn't think much of him then but seems to have kicked on a bit and found his scoring boots although his level of late is probably closer to League 1 then Championship football.

Will he force Burns to the bench or lead to a new formation from Rudes?

Not the be all and end all, but his FIFA rating of 68 ranks him as a damn good striker for League One standard, pretty good for the Ekstraklasa, and middling in the Championship. Definitely hope his performances reflect that

Listened to his podcast.

You probably have to be an Irish football fan to get the most out of it.

Best on at least 1.3x speed, as he's not the quickest talker.

Cant wait to see some headed goals from him. Very nice aerial threat surely. Look at his goal stats on wikipedia, as someone mentioned he looked to find his scoring boots on the last few seasons.

A champion too, sure he won trophies in Bulgaria and Cyprus but that's gotta mean something in terms of maintaining a winning mentality in the squad.

I think the last person of any real significance to wear it was Bertos, wasn't he? Unless I have it horribly wrong.

Do we know that we didn't offer a longer contract?

Not sure. Makes sense for us to see how he goes here before committing long-term though. Also makes sense for him to come check it out here given he was being pushed out of the club he was at.

He could always end up being the second coming of Jeffery Sarpong, and if that’s the case, we will only have to deal with him for half a season. If he’s good, then we can renew his contract.

And why would he accept it? A short paid OE, and if he's confident in his skills then he can prove ve his value and ask for it ons renewal talks.

Seems like a win win.
