Yeah interesting that 2010 WC team mates Lochhead, Elliott & Nelsen all living back Stateside.

They all went to college there, and obviously think US of A ain't such a bad place to live.

Though do remember Nellie saying he wasn't impressed by either Trumpy or Hillary as candidates pre Trump's shock win!

not Nix, but Luka Prelevic seems to be playing for Aspendale Stingrays in the Aussie regional 7th tier.

Makes you think, is he the worst All White in the modern era?

no I'd go with the last All White to score a goal for the team, the one often reffered to as Hudsons love child

Australian 7th tier. Wow.

Part Hudson apologist that I am, Hay certainly has a much stronger group of young players to pick from.

Huddo threw the net wide and took punts on kids like Patterson, Dyer, Prelevic etc, as agruably they were the best youngsters around. Even Luke Adams (still only 25). That team in PNG really was weak.

From memory folks were more upset at the time, that Dyer was picked ahead of older heads like Chris James, Dan Keat, Craig Henderson etc.

Hay has a whole different level of young talent to get his hands on.

Dylan Fox with a bit of a mare on debut for CCM - hurriedly knocks a ball out for a corner when he had a bit of time to get it clear, resulting corner and it's a goal to WSW. Then, with 10 minutes to go has a ball kicked into his outstretched arm in the penalty area, they go to VAR - Penalty given and Mitch Duke slaps it home. Bad day at the office for him...

Bit tough, on the corner Clisby let his man go and I think it was him who clipped the ball into him for the penalty. Nothing he could do really.

Not so much a nightmare, maybe just a couple of instances that lead to defining moments in the match, and he was heavily involved in both, that's the way it goes. Wouldn't say bad game overall, just a tad unfortunate...

Good to see him back in the A-League though. Thought Stensness was very solid in the base of midfield for CCM too.

What got me with that penalty was that the ball had already passed the WSW striker and was on it's way to where no other WSW player was running. Yes, I know any physical contact with an arm this season, is a penalty but really? Was Fox interferring with the play and or stopping a scoring opportunity? Dumb rule change.

Cillian Sheridan scored on Oct 19th in a 2-1 loss.

So far he has 2 goals in 7 games (played the full 90 in every game) - plus a hatty in the Cup earlier on.

Been a busy man, no wonder his poddy game is suffering.

Hmmm. Beneficiaries of some pretty average goalkeeping and at least one non-offside call.

But, hey, they look happy.

Whatever the Phoenix offered them both, then doubled, & I'd say in Krishna's case, probably tripled. A search through good old google reveals Krishna is likely one of the highest paid players in ISL.

Speculation of course, but if Krishna turned down rumoured offers between 500k-800k per year (from what I remember being bandied around at the time) to stay in the A-League, then it would easily have to be north of $1,000,000. Add to that, he's on a one year contract, money is no problem to club owners over there (despite being a distinctly average league) and with that he (and Williams) get a fairly comfortable 18 game season. Not sure exactly what Williams would pull in, but it wouldn't be chump change.

I went back and checked that Willo offside as it looked very tight but the LB was playing him on.

Apparently Hay strongly has his eye on one who was with Nix last year, but finds himself across the ditch in a starting role with a team that is on the way up - as opposed to the Nix which, alas, are cementing the bottom spot.   It looks like that lad chose the right coach...

You can only mean Stensness. I presume as a DM.

Other candidates Tuiloma, Musa & Rufer.

Bit early to say CCM are on the way up.

And assuming said player, also a very convenient way of representing how he got there given he hardly wound up at CCM "choosing the right coach" entirely of his own volition..

Took horrific advice probably from people close to him with inflated views that he could get a gig in Europe then when that failed ended up lucking into the fact that there is a state league side in NSW operating as an A-League club.
