Was at the Peru v All Whites game. From memory it wasn't quite a sell out, though got mighty close. 

Still seemed a bit of feeling to me that the novelty of 2009 had faded somewhat. Not helped by Peru having no big name players (to Kiwis anyway), plus AWs lead in form (think Confeds Cup in Russia) being average and them being given little chance against Sth America's 5th best team.

I think low profile playoff opposition like Bahrain (Asia), Honduras (Central America) or Peru (Sth America) - would still drag in at least 38,000 to Eden Park. That's about max capacity at Westpac with temp seating.

Novelty factor, a balmy late summer March night (note playoffs scheduled for March 2022), higher profile opposition, an AWs side with impressive lead in form - and yeah a capacity crowd would be possible. Dream scenario for NZF, would be drawing the Socceroos, with 2nd leg in NZ, after say a draw or close loss in Sydney. Could sell out EP twice over with that game.
