It's interesting that what many All Whites supporters (myself included) consider to be one of the highlights of following the national team, that is, the qualifier against Bahrain in 2009 he considers to be "a bit of a burden". Do we take it from this that he doesn't want to "burden" supporters with such success in the future? I can't fathom the logic that says we had success at a venue so we shouldn't continue to play there.

He sees it as a burden as that side set the bar for what we should expect from an AW side which I and others feel Hay will not be able to deliver.
