"It has [been a busy period] and also the job's not an easy one," Hay said. "You don't get time to work with the players and a lot of the work you're doing is away from the pitch.
"I'm incredibly proud of staff. They've done a remarkable job, getting the players to perform like they did last night, but it's hard. I'm not going to lie, it's not easy.
"I need to think long and hard whether I can put myself and my family through that again."
