Now i know you guys think three points is a given this weekend however i've heard a few things round the traps to make me think that this weekend there might be a suprise come 90 minutes... I'm thinking that this might just be our week to ruin wellington's home playoff aspirations.

I know that tipping thing ended weeks ago but:

Otago United FC 1
Team Wellington 0

Mark my words come Sunday 5pm the Newtown park Scoreboard will read the above

Does TW even have a scorboard? It was down one end but I havent notice (nor looked) this season.

Tell us what you have been hearing that backs up your prediction.

The velcro cardboard thing that is not always put out, let alone updated during the game? If I recall correctly, it says home and visitors - not specific team names.

Anyway, you can't ruin the TW aspirations, as we can afford to lose and still host a SF by beating Auckland. I'd rather we went to Auckland only needing a draw though.

Maybe, TW's results are better than how they play. I assume P Hal. will be suspended this week.
Dunno if Rupert Ryan looked fit enough to replace him, but hes my sort of player up front. Dont like it when they play Little and Corrales or Little and Ellensohn.

Do we have to suffer Terry Phelans constant verbal puppetry from the sidelines again - I shall take earplugs if so.

I dont think they will be replacing P Hal with Rupert Ryan. I think Raf will be back this week.

as long as you shelled out for a double digit capacity for the visitors I'm sure it will be a sound investment

Nightz is right about Rup Ryan whose leg exploded at training the other night I gather.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I thought that Raf, Cheriton, Luis Corrales and young Blackburn all put in good shifts this afternoon

Raf's control and distribution where excellent in my view

and the defence put in some telling tackles on one or two occasions when they broke at 2-1 and threatened to remind us of the bad old days

great communication from Ellensohn to encourage one of our lot (raf i think) to get the ball wide early for the third goal

strange to see Sasha N come on for Imray with 5 mins to go

overall a much more interesting game than last week

Agree 100% with all of that . Raf was class. I think TW maybe were a bit fortunate with the ref.
My immediate reaction with the 1st goal was that it WAS in, but I was not directly in line with the goal. I have certainly seen goals like that not given, but the lino seemed to give it straight away.

And for the second goal Ellensohn was fortunate not to be punished for the use of his body, again, more times than not I would expect a ref to give a foul for that. Would love to see both on action replay.

Um er well done welly best of luck for the jaffas

A ? If there any sport pyscologist out there you might know if the 1/2 time break and it approaching and after it has any effect on the players becuase we are conceding a hell off alot of goals just b4 or just after the break as well as in the 89th, 90th, 91st etc
just wondering

And a quick afterthought what did you guys think of Colin Falvey the new import had just his second game the first game also an away game??

I heard the good players for Team Wellington were:
Schaeffers, Elenson, Corales, and Raf...
