Interesting the talk around the U20 minutes and with ChCh United dropping six points in the Canterbury Premier League due to fielding ineligible player(s).
Likewise in the North Island this season a team in the Chatham Cup going out after winning for doing the same thing, this happens every year in the Cup and in either the Northern or Central League a club fielded too many non- NZ players and the game result ended in a forfeit.
Cannot understand how or why clubs and others, do appear to know or understand the regulations for the various competitions that they play in. All the regs are available online and the higher the level of the competition the bigger the consequences of a beech, i.e. not gaining promotion, ending a cup round with the final just in sight.
Goes to show that what you do 'off the field' is just as (if not more) important than what happens on the field.
