Hmmm Team Wellington Youth are on a downward slide, beaten 6 - nil by Otago- what the hell?
Jeepers, I was commending their defenders a few weeks ago and now this????
I betcha Tim Mather and Steelo will be smiling, being on the right side of the ledger!

Well I think Mick Wait will be glad hes not there....the results were far better when Capital Soccer had TW Youth.

I think that was Baiter's point...
If Mick was the type he'd be having a laugh now.

Yep I gathered that
but just checking LOL...so what has happened to Mick? and can they get him back before the current coaching team do anymore damamge?
What was worse was that Otago website said both Eager and Blackburn did play, so with a bit more experience we should have done better....can't defend and can't score!

Mick's out of the game having a break. And whipping me at squash with frightening regularity.
I spoke to one of the players after the Otago game and he laid the blame squarely at the feet of the players and not the coaching staff.

Spoke to a player before also... He said Half the players in that team including him have heads the size of beach balls ... If they lost the cockyness and just played football they would be fine.. Theres nothing wrong with the coaching staff...

There isn't what you'd call an abundance of quality players in Wellington...got to take what you can get I guess.

Afraid if thats the case those with beachball heads still need to be reigned in and maybe some lesser talent will still loose by the same margin but at least they might leave their guts on the field doing it.

Fair call. I would say if Macca is in charge next year there'll be some changes to the squad. Indeed it would seem there have been some already.

Without knowing whats going on, its pure speculation but the facts are two back to back loses and the extent of these losses is unacceptable (full stop)!
I think Mick already had 15,16 year olds in the youth setup well before they were ready to mature, so there should be enough younger talent still coming through surely...and as for big heads, I'm afraid that too is part and parcel of coaching as well - if they cant tow the party line.... drop them.... show them who is really the boss!! I mean who do these kids think they are, cos if they were really any good, they would playing somewhere else - lets just get hard on it!!!
At the same time, if its about the coach, then players also need to want to play for him too! Respect!

I guess there is a slight oversight on my behalf, I should also give credit where credit is due,.... so......congratulations Otago!

With that missed pen morgan day on four goals looking for a five wicket bag i mean 5 goal bag (stil in cricket mode) he slipped on the waterlogged pitch and the ball went wide.
