Peru (5th, 21 pts) look comfortable 2-0 up now in Lima, with 15-20 mins to go.

Colombia (6th, 20 pts) giving themselves a chance being 1-0 up in Venezuela. That would be enough if Peru imploded to draw with Paraguay.

Chile (7th, 19 pts) the other team in the mix for 5th, are still 0-0 with Uruguay in Santiago.

Edit - AWs win tomorrow, NZF to reach out to the Peru FA (there must be some old emails there from 2017!) and say you want to play a closed doors friendly start of June/late May??

Sell it as AWs play similar to Socceroos! FFA may not be happy about the idea though. However at senior men's level what do we owe Australia - haven't played us in what seems forever.

Note Socceroos will unlikely be available for a game, as schedule likely too tight with them playing UAE 6th June. Intercontinental Playoffs are 13th-14th June.

So you'd think AWs will have a friendly sometime, about 3rd-6th June, giving themselves a decent break before the Playoff game. They may even sneak in an earlier friendly late May (maybe mostly a B side), but then starts to get a bit tight with end of the long European club seasons. Wood's Newcastle play their last EPL game 22nd May for example.
