Anyone got any good hints here? Heading to the Deep South next week and need something to enjoy with a cheese roll.

Either.

Not sure you can really have one without the other

Sure you can.  Steve-O doesn't have a winery.

Ha, was meaning you looking for wine recommendations or wineries to visit?

I'm a big fan of Mt Difficulty.  All of the Mt Difficulty I have tried are great, but pricy and really deserve being put away for a while, if you're looking for somethign to drink now the Roaring Meg are in the same style and very nice and a bit more affordable. Don't know what they go for in NZ but we get them here in the UK for about £13.99 which I think is great value

Is it called Mt difficulty as it describes issues you may have in the boudoir after necking a bottle?

Check out Amisfield winery on rd between Arrowtown and Queenstown. Great location and the Pinot pretty good.

Gibston Valley wines also do a great lunch with nice vino

Not sure any of you have picked up on this yet  but  the sparky and one would assume risible exuberance of the UIMF by the Katana must surely be on every persons want list?

It does take a certain palate to savor, a certain peaty frontal assault with a citrus zing is bound to get people talking however.

Available from the Supercheap Auto vineyard

Lowburn Ferry is one of my favourites.

Mt Difficulty is good

Lots of good Rieslings down that way too

I broke all the rules and had a Hawke's Bay Pinot Noir last week...it was pretty good. Matariki 2007 vintage.
