I'm tempted to try that TD (SU-85b), but I mean I'm running four at the moment do I need another? Is the lack of armor a major problem?

SU85b - Im torn between this and the T40 as to which is my favourite TD -both are excellent

the Pros for SU85b

-2nd highest camo rating in the game - distance becomes armour -if you play as a defending long range sniper you can do a lot of damage unseen. Theres nothing better than sitting on top of a hill at El Halluf, picking off tanks left right and centre. Later in the battle you can get more aggressive as you mop up

The gun -as Sig says, the top 85mm gun makes big holes in Tier 6 tanks - its accurate and fast firing -slightly slower to aim, but once you develop the patience, you can 1 shot T3's, 2 shot most T4s and T5's -T6s 3-4 depending on armour etc -its great hitting a T5 tank and watching half their health disappear in 1 shot, and their turre(n)t looking round like a blind dalek before you finish them off

Cons

If you dont play to the strengths of the SU85b youll be disappointed -it can take 2 hits at the most so dont push forward too fast-stay hidden, watch the choke points and profit!

Gun depression and elevation are terrible - you need to be on flat ground -any kind of slope will limit what you can aim at - however, this is also a good thing as it teaches you to learn the layout of the maps a lot better .

Ive just hit a 71.66 win rate over 1235 battles in this, WOT assistant shows the last 46 games have an 89% win rate -thats solo and platooned -I think its an underrated TD that gets overlooked as people race up the Russain TD line, but for me, its a keeper
