Taylor left Nix for India, because of all the uncertainty re the A League at the time, due to Covid. No dates about when the A League was going to start for following season, Foxtel looking to pull plug on TV rights etc etc. He got a nice lucrative offer from Odisha, knowing that his playing days were near an end, so he took it.
Was all to do with the League itself, nothing to do with any licence issues with Phoenix as a club, or Welnix owners. Nix's licence hasn't been questioned for a few years now. Not since was confirmed the club owners (where Rob Morrison is a highly respected figure) were taking over running the A League from the FFA.
It's a shark time for Welnix, but they ain't going anywhere. As Prof says a women's team & growing Academy with 20+ staff say as much.
