we've said this all before regarding our manager/coach not leaving - Rudan left for a better deal at WU even though he promised he wouldnt. We trusted him and he left with our captain and our keeper.
I hope Talay has better values and sees his contract out with us, but even with the toxicity at WSW and teh crap feel over there they do offer one thing we can't at the moment - playing at home and security of not being in a hotel for 2 years. I'd like to think that the Nix guys would be taking to Talay about being with the team longer maybe on a decent 3-4 year deal. He's started something here and it would be nice to see it carry on, build a legacy so to speak.

He's also born & bred Western Sydney. Started his playing career at Marconi-Fairfield. He'll have family and all sorts of connections still to the area.
WSW are a club with loads of potential, and if he could turn it around there, get them back to where they were under Poppa, he'd make a real name for himself. It would be a tempting gig for sure, but every interview I've seen Talay do he comes across as having good integrity. I have faith he'll still be Nix coach next season, as long as Welnix promise to give him the visa players he'll ask for.
But I don't really see him staying in Welly beyond his contract. He's a Sydneysider and he'll bank on one of the gigs at WSW, SFC or Macarthur becoming available about the time his Nix contract finishes.
Des should be the target for Welnix beyond 2022/23.
