Is it just me or 4k is a bit low? What did we have last year?
I personally would be targeting a higher number whether its realistic/achieveable or not.
IIRC, last year we had around 2.5k, and the season before we had 1.5k. I think 4k is a perfect number to be targeting, it is reachable and therefore more people will engage with the target. If the club were to come out and say 'We are aiming for 10k' then many on here would laugh at it and not care about trying to help them meet the target.
And if we do meet the 4k target by the end of, say, August, the target can be modified upwards to 5 or 6k.
Although the deadline has been extended, according to Smithy's phallic-paxometer only 1.3k have renewed so far. A 50% attrition.

I've seen way more advertising this year. Never noticed anything in previous seasons. Players have also been ringing round former members reminding them to sign up.
It seems to be much more of a focus this season, which is encouraging.
