If only there was a website that told you how many tickets we'd sold...oh...wait...

No, it's correct. They add "club members" to theirs - you know, people who buy a membership that doesn't include any game tickets. We don't. That's the difference. Our count is season ticket holders only.

Why is your count game tickets when the clubs promotion 4k4nix is for members?

From their site:

"This season we’re aiming to get 4,000 members behind the team! Every membership counts towards our goal. Show your belief and belong!"

Just wondering why it would be different Smithy?

From In the Nix:

Briefly mentioned in the last In the Nix newsletter, we’re looking for passionate Wellington Phoenix supporters to be our Wellington Phoenix Ambassadors.

If you’re the loudest and proudest Wellington Phoenix supporter in your workplace, club, school or social group, then we want to hear from you. We are looking for Wellington Phoenix Ambassadors to help us tell the world how great it is to be part of our Club!

Ultimately, you’ll be our port of call for your network of colleagues, friends and acquaintances for all Wellington Phoenix information. We’ll also have a special shirt and event for you so that you have all the information you need.

If you would like to apply to be an ambassador, please email us with your details, ideas and stories at phoenixadmin@wellingtonphoenix.com.

The Phoenix Ambassadors (a.k.a. Nixed Nuts, Phoenix Fanboys, Dude-In-The-Office-Most-Likely-To-Get-Sacked-For-Spending-All-Day-On-Yellow-Fever, or whatever you want to call yourself) are a key part of the upcoming Phoenix Membership Corporate Challenge so I highly recommend you sign up.

And start sussing out who in your office is already a Phoenix season ticket holder or, more importantly, is a potential season ticket holder with just a little bit more encouragement.

More to come...

2480 Season members sold  Vs. 20,000+ tickets sold for All Whites

How can the Phoenix convert some of those 20K, that are not already Phoenix members?

Is it that unrealistic to think that 20-25% (4-5K) could be converted some how?

it's all about novelty value, once every four years is always going to get more attention than a local team. But you are right, there must be a way to convert some of these football fans to come see the nix regularly.

Unfair to compare All Whites attendance and Nix memberships, the majority (I assume) of those attending the playoff game will come in from out of town.

Majority would come from Wellington I'd say

Agree that it's not a fair comparison. This is like comparing the WC Final at Eden Park attendance for 1 game to season ticket holders at the Blues.

Converted does not neccessarily mean season ticket holder. Of the subset of the 20,000+ who are regional residents, quite a few of them might be regular Phoenix attendees without neccessarily being season ticket holders.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
