2480 Season members sold  Vs. 20,000+ tickets sold for All Whites

How can the Phoenix convert some of those 20K, that are not already Phoenix members?

Is it that unrealistic to think that 20-25% (4-5K) could be converted some how?

Converted does not neccessarily mean season ticket holder. Of the subset of the 20,000+ who are regional residents, quite a few of them might be regular Phoenix attendees without neccessarily being season ticket holders.
Part of Operation #4k4nix is about turning those people who turn up to Phoenix into season members though, so in my opinion it's reasonable to ask the question about how to get some of them to purchase memberships.

Yes, I agree Patrick.

But elsewhere it has been mentioned that there is another aim, that of "increasing attendances" without neccessarily focussing JUST on season memberships i.e.get them along to the games, one way or another, and yes, if they become season members that's even better...but if not, just get them along on a pay as you go basis...

My point was if we ONLY focus on whether/how many of them become season members, we might get down on the whole situation if the number of season mberships is lower than we had hoped for... BUT it might not neccessarily be all doom and gloom... if the number attending (season members, or otherwise) goes up.... then that's still a good result. (despite not neccessarily being the good result we were specifically hoping for)

Converting All Whites interest into Phoenix interest is a good thing, regardless of whether the conversion is a season membership, or not. Season membership type conmversions are the best kind (arguably) but they are not the ONLY kind of conversion...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Great post. I will be buying a season ticket for the first time this year after becoming a nix convert in 2009. I have considered myself a hardcore nix fan that whole time, missing very few games but deciding not to get a ticket for various reasons including the larger one-off cost being unaffordable, being away a lot over the christmas break making a season ticket uneconomical, and having access to a few freebies through work/friends/competitions. I wonder whether there are a fair few like me out there.

the question is, who would want a spa after it has had some bird jumping around in it amongst a load of balls?

Yeah hope so man.

It's absolutely important for the development of football in this country.

Gotta keep these ten A League clubs alive. Otherwise if clubs come and go the wider community will find it hard to get attached to them.

How many members did we have last season? Have we passed last seasons tally yet?

Are you a passionate Wellington Phoenix supporter who wants to show your support and help the 4k4nix 2013/14 Membership drive? Join the 4k4nix Corporate Challenge.

In addition to bragging rights and an inevitable increase in your company's value there are two categories of prizes, depending on the size of the organisation:

The large business (more than 10 employees) with the most Phoenix members on staff by 30 September wins a workplace shout, including morning tea or afternoon drinks with members of the Wellington Phoenix, plus access to the Phoenix Lounge for all their members for one home game of the 2013/14 season of their choice.

The small business (nine employees or less) with the most dedicated member (most pimped out desk or work space, trying to win your colleagues over etc) and/or members on staff by 30 September will win the opportunity to show off to their friends: 10 complimentary tickets to one home game of your choice for the 2013/14 season.

How it works:

1. Email phoenixadmin@wellingtonphoenix.com and register yourself and your business

2. If a business with 10+ employees find out how many Phoenix members already work there and encourage as many more as you can to sign up. Email your final tally and membership numbers to phoenixadmin@wellingtonphoenix.com by 30 September.

Here's a poster (pdf) for you to use to hype up your colleagues!

Here's the 2013/14 Phoenix membership brochure

3. If a business with less than 10 employees do whatever it takes to prove you and/or your business are the most dedicated in town. Pimp out your workspace, sign up as many members as you can, record a tribute song, do some performance art, whatever. Send your evidence (videos, photos, essays, poetry etc) to phoenixadmin@wellingtonphoenix.com by 30 September.

Now go forth and mercilessly crush your opposition. Good luck!

I play Just can't get enough, Phoenix City, Ring of Fire and Carnival de Paris at work on my mp3 player much to the annoyance of my colleagues.

Do I win something? I must be the most dedicated Phoenix Fan in Onekawa, Napier!!!

Maybe if you submitted a video of your workmates giving you the bash, with Ring of Fire as the soundtrack.

We've got 35 from working going to the game in Napier. How about just a straight competition to get people to pimp out their workplace, record a video/song etc? prize doesn't need to be much, certificate or something. i would be in. unfortunately a little too far away to get people to buy memberships

Perhaps Dura just farted and he's looking away in disgust?

Just do it anyway NP. I'm sure the Nix can factor in "distance from the Ring of Fire" as a criteria in their decision-making!

So the latest figures from YF are 2,678 and from the club 2,947 (as per In the Nix email), with the difference being club members.

Not sure we're going to make 4k this season but hopefully this last month will see a bit of a last minute rush.

Don't forget to check out the workplace challenge if you haven't already.
