That was worth 5 pages of scrolling through to be reminded of how crerberal Frankie Mac is, & how despite not using the "Ignore" function, I still haven't won a big prize. Jesus wept.
Seriously, the drop in traffic here may also be related to evolution in the use of social media.
I'm a member on a much smaller football forum, (about 100 members). Of those 100, there were about a dozen core contributors, (yes, we were called a clique too). Of that dozen, 7 or 8 of us had our own (mostly club oriented) websites, and used the forum to exchange news and opinions. However, over the past two years, we've all added twitter accounts to our sites, and now most of our discussion happens there, to the extent that the forum is barely used.
I used to mainly come on here on matchdays to follow matches in progress, something I can do equally well on twitter, and because of who I follow there, considerably less bickering & angst.
Was literally just thinking that. There's a few of us on twitter who end up discussing things from the forum on there. It avoids a lot of the silly angst like "Paston sux" and you can discuss football. Even the great biscuit debate has migrated to twitter as of this morning. We tend to use the hashtag #YFForums
