I'll add my voice to the Keep Muscat campaign too. I think he's got the makings of an excellent player.

in regards to Residence..it really depends, there are several categories. I think it's at least 3 years if you're working..or perhaps he should marry a kiwi chick [whistles and acts as if he didn't know anything]..that will speed it up!!
However, there is always a special clause for professional sportsmen...so i'm sure it could be done pretty quickly.
Think how cool if we played out WC qualifier playoff at the RoF with our beloved Daniel on the pitch...

I'd like to see Muscat resigned, he's a quality player. My SOS teacher does too, thinks he's one of the best RB's in the league and the best player at the Nix. A bit bold, but he still is a solid player and has shown he has the makings to be a decent RB.

Its been quiet around doddy...has played very well in the back four this year(dont mention defensive midfield) would seem to be a no-brainer to me....RE-SIGN HIM

Really happy to see the plans taking shape for next season. A very good five players to resign. Agree that Dodd would be a key resigning, but I think he might be headed for one of the Queensland teams. Just a feeling. Having said that, feeling very positive heading into the big game on Sunday!

Really happy to see Daniel re-sign, it must have been more frustrating for him than it was for us watching Gao stroll about the field doing sweet FA and still getting legions of game time. Now that that's all done and dusted lets get Daniel back in there to play some effective attacking balls. Brazilian midfield unite!
There were rumours of Dodd signing elsewhere some time ago right? I guess Phoenix is making solid bids to try and keep him here which is why we don't know either way just yet. I do hope he stays but we do have a couple extra centre backs in case he doesn't.
BTW - Moss sent off for dissention in the AWs game? He's becoming an Aussie already and he's only just signed for Melbourne...

If Daniel has another Brazilian around him, I predict he'll shine. His last bit of form was with Felipe, although I still think Daniel and Lochhead work nicely - does Tony speak Portugese?

I think it's because they have a similar style (in regards to bombing up the left flank) and just clicked. Lochhead is a fairly "Brazilian" style left back IMO.

WE dopnt' really need another keeper do we, Paston has done ok, excluding one or two brain explosion and spoonley should work well as a #2......I'm really keen to see Daniel and Fred playing together, hopefully it will bring back some of the felipe/daniel magic from season 1.

Gao is the only player I've sl*gged off on here and stated that he should never again play for the Phoenix. So I'm well happy to see that he's been given the boot and that Tony P. didn't announce it with some bullsh*t like "by mutual agreement".
Plus for next year's ambitions it's great to see our back 6 is remaining mostly intact.
And I'm still holding on to the hope that Mulligan comes good.

But he obviously isnt getting it together off the field as well, so good decision Terry and Tony and Ricki (the new holy trinity?) in moving him on and saving us any more pain
Dodd going to GC?? - well if they had offered him a contract earlier in the season when he was getting sl*gged off here left right and centre, then his bags would be packed.
However he has found his slot again, and we do love you there Doddy, all is forgiven, please stay!

Indeed, with the first choice back six secure +/- Dodd we can look for some real consistency in our backline and build forward from there. In fact of the players in our last game vs Melbourne, the only ones not resigned are Moss/Smeltz (already going), Fred (who knows) and Paston.
