Three for me, and two for them.
I honestly think you're core of 10,000 now CL is something to be very proud of. Besides, why would you want an extra 5-10,000 plastics there if you don't hear a peep out of them all game? If that was the case then you'd be better off sticking with the core of 10,000.

Plus the ones that come for the atmosphere join in.
Problem is they don't really get that everyone singing one thing is better than having 5 different chants going at once like happened with the Cake and Galaxy games.

aren't you guys just overcompensating for your lack of atmosphere?
my atmosphere is huge

I agree with pao here.
Part of intimidation is numbers. If i was on that pitch looking up at the stand about to take a penalty I would see YF going hard, but how much harder would it be if theyre were 5000 more people in a sea of yellow next to them, regardless if they were active or not.

Even if half of the people in the stands have the atmospheric presence of cardboard cutouts, they're still being exposed to our passion and that will rub off on some of them. Feverites have to start from somewhere. It's how I got into it - Wellington vs Newcastle in the preseason, I sat in the prawn sandwich zone, then switched to Aisle 22 at half time. I've never looked back since.
That, and I want the Phoenix to be commercially successful, and thus, financially stable and less likely to get kicked out of the league a la Auckland.

We (Yellow fever / last season ticket holders) need to cajole mates into buying season tickets for this season.
I also hope the club's marketing bods have a big push for season tickets planned - especially as they may go on sale this month.
After that YF needs to email (if the club will release that detail) all new members to
A) get them signed up on the forum
B) get them along to Ryos / champs to buy some gear
C) get them to spread the word
D) give them some ground rules - stand up in YF zone, chant one chant at a time etc
don't care who gets there - let's get them there
1. Ensures the clubs survival (first and foremost it has to be about that!)
2. Makes it more intimidating for visiting teams
3. Even the prawners can't help be infected by the Fever
It's all part of a master plan!!! phooaaaaarrr!
Come on you Nix!

(to tune of - you'll never beat the Phoenix)I agree with pao here.

Come on Buffon, you and me both know when they get excited they'll throw in a clap here and there.
Ben Sherman, now theres a shirt.
(whilst also giving them every opportunity to alleviate themselves of some hard earned with little, if any, effort
)I agree with pao here.

And if it takes distributing song sheets so the WHOLE crowd knows that chants then let's not be so precious just bloody well do it!
All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
