for the first 60 mins we were ok defensively - but that's about all we did ok.....we looked short of ideas, lacked any creativity - if this is what happens when Ifill gets shut down and has a poor game we are in trouble.

My thoughts
It's games like today when I think we need a marquee. Because lets be honest, we currently have no player who stands out and lifts the team

and what is up with playing Muscat, Lia and smith in midfield ? I's pretty much a 2nd defensive line. We have no playmaker/someone who can actually pass the ball to our attacking players.

I really hate complaining but what else to do after the recent results?
New tactics are needed ASAP. Smith + Lia + Manny is working. Dump Smith or Lia for fenton. He isn't perfect but he spark a hell of a lot more than what we currently have.
Ifill is in poor form, but he'll be back. Keep playing him.
I thought Dura was great 2nd half, especially in the first bit of it. He seemed to be the only player to want to run with the ball.
With the crowds.. Dare I say it that I think we need a Marquee. If we can get another 1-2k per game to see a marquee then do it. 7.5 in the sun isn't enough, and it will be more like 5k next game after all the casuals sat through that today. Not sure if ive ever seen Westpac empty that quickly before.

that was just plain disgraceful and its time people drew a line in the sand. we have a team who struggles to score a goal a game and a defence with more leaks than a christchurch roof. Ive suffered through 9 below average results, but this is just taking the piss now

Gareth has already said we won't be spenind money on a marquee - and if we continue to play like that on fine days the crowds will stay away. Didn't helpthat today was competing against Sata's Party and Carols. I'm wishing I went with the family to Santa's party.

Get Sanchez on the park now..... Lia, Smith and Muscat are all the same mould/type of player, our midfield can't create, hold the ball or take it up the middle effectively. They are all playing like Tim Brown (but at least TB scored goals for us!)
