Yeah theres no way Id renew. Its a short term fix to a long term problem. Its 2 games out of town now, next season it might be 4, then it might be 6... a lot of wellingtonions would become disinterested, and depending on how bad it gets i believe ultimately players would reconsider their contracts. Why would someone like Durante want to be on the road 4 weeks out of every 5 when he could settle back in Sydney and be with his family? This is the sort of shit i see happening. The club would disintegrate and it could be the end of everything football in NZ, again.

agreed, I'll accept two games away from home, any more than that and I'll watch from home - this is my only way of saying to the club I'm not happy with it. In essence taking the team on tour may give themn 4 home (away) games with big crowds once or twice - when the novelty wears off or some other new thing arrives it will go to zero and the club will have lost the hardcore fans as well - someone at the nix management must know this!!!!????????????

It is my understanding The Nix are only taking one game away (Auckland) the Dunedin on is an FFA match.

Why don't we get involved with the march to match? Yeah it's naff but we've got the flags and the voices to make a huge impact on its success so why not hit the pub early, get a bit loose and then head down and get involved.

I'm not suggesting we overpower but we could be at the front to help bring people in or be at the back to make it look strong right the way through.

I know there's also a bit of an 'don't chant outside the stadium' thing going on, but why not whip out some of the more general (non-agressive) ones (Going to win the League, When I see you Phoenix, Wind Rain Phoenix) along the way. That way we can attract the attention of the people who can't see the march but are bound to go 'what the hell is that' and come and find out. The atmosphere has always been a plus for the Phoenix over other sports but if someone hasn't gone to a game or watched it on TV they may not know how it's better.

Which is a good point, and I appreciate what both the Nix and NZF are trying to do with the pre-games, but I'm not sure bums on seats at a pregame is going to help the Nix more in the long-term than doing what we can to drive up ticket sales. We're not at risk of losing TW home games to other cities.

I've been watching the pre-games on Sky at home so if I can grab a flag I might do the march instead.

Agreed no harm done but I think the reason they pulled them out at the RWC was because Eden park is in such a stupid spot, they needed to find a novel way of making people walk. Did they do them here? Not even sure to be honest.

I dont know - i feel like ADP has been good for goals, but hasnt really done anything to help the shape of the team. Maybe this is perfect for Farina to try and get the team working well as a unit. ADP switches off everytime Sudnee lose the ball, and perhaps a few hungrier players behind him will work a bit harder

No ad change required - the ROF is where you go to see ADP, he just may not be playing or there from time to time.

OK - It's time to kick a team when they are down - Just like CCM did to Sydney without Del Boy!

The Nix need to do a real job on Sydney this Sunday, a draw or loss is simply unacceptable

(Hell, a 2-0 win is not even an imporvement over the first game of the season).

A 3-0 win and anything above this should be the goal that will boost our F&A

It's hat trick time for some one in the Nix on Sunday...

Masters Grade aint no run in the park on a Saturday...

Right now Ifill is a lesser self and Brockie is the ghost who walks, pops up when he needs to and is a good acquisition, but does not stamp himself on a game. Stein is tidy quality, but not exactly an excitement machine and no-one is playing off him. That's how I'm seeing it. But ...

Having said that, the team has shown flashes of an entertaining creative interpassing game. We have had our first decent offseason recruitment and we've still got a new front third coming together. If they can turn on more of the 20 and 30 mins of real quality entertaining attacking footy we've seen in a couple of games and if the absolute crap weather turns to a bit of sun, I think you'll see the crowds back up a fair bit. I mean the weather for those two games was pretty atrocious for getting out a big crowd.

And you slack arses have got noticeably quieter lately; pick your farkin game up. Tellin ya.

Crap weather is a killer when half your add on crowd is kids and families. That's 2-4k more.
And non-exciting and/or poor result footy kills the other add-on half. That's another 2-4k.

But hey, it's still a young club, it's great to see some of the development kids coming through and getting some game time and I don't see the Welnix crowd pulling out, so it's another two years or so that we want to see progress over. Plus the new TV deal (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/a-league-soccer/news/article.cfm?c_id=523&objectid=10849793) eases the financials for Welnix a heap.

I had hoped we'd take WS for a two nil or more win, even if they are well organised; and we might have, went close more than a couple of times. If we can put Sydney to the sword this weekend we will be building nicely. If it's another tight low scoring one where we fail to really press then it could be a tough run for numbers over the xmas games.
