No doubt we were abysmal but I don't think we can read too much into this game. We just looked like we have given up on the season. Next year, with Kosta and a couple of new defenders and no license bullshark hanging over us we could be a very different team.
Yea but we still had a chance at the top 6 didn't we? I mean it was still possible not that we deserve it or were even likely to get there playing like we have been. They all gave up except Watson obviously. The crowd was so quite throughout and I left before the final whistle with a lot of other people looking miserable. This shark ain't fun and after about 8 years of never truly looking like we could win the toilet seat, I can't blame people for not wanting to come. I also support NUFC so I've never tasted success and I feel I can handle that better than others! I am still a member but I do question it after performances like this.
Out of those 8 years, two of those I believed we could win it. Last season before the wheels fell off and the golden run before the Hand of Payne goal, I believed the Nix had it in them to win. Finals football can be cruel. But given the choice of a team that has a couple of good seasons in 10 and no team at all, I know what I'd rather choose.
