Ah, no, sorry. I beg to differ. If Auckland pulled 20K every time then we would ask FFA to give us a licence for a second NZ team, based in Auckland, instead of moving the team we already have and that is already punching above it's weight.

The crowd numbers we have for Wellington are fair for a city/region of that size and are similar to CCM or Newcastle Jets. In contrast, 20K in Auckland would be in Sydney or Melbourne category, well above Adelaide or Perth numbers, and a real proof that A-League football has good following there. And so far I am not convinced that is the case.
