Surely he'll hold out for victory to come swooping back in. He loves them and they love him.

I'm quite torn as part of me wants Rojas back at the club where it all started, the other part wants him to sign for Mebourne City just to see how Victory supporters react. lol

Kinda feels like Rojas is now our kiwi version of Robbie Kruse. Can't think of many times of late for the national team where he has been good despite obvious talent and pedigree, coupled with a complicated relationship with nix fans. Definite Kruse vibes

I think they are both similar players for how to get the best out of them. You could also put Kosta in that category where they stand out in a team thats in total control of the midfield, dominant up front utilising good wing backs with a skillful 9 and 10 which is something our national team has lacked in parts while both Marco and Kosta has been on the scene.

Kosta was at his worst when he played for us and couldn't carry the team like Krishna or Ifill could.

Marco would work really well in our team at the moment but for now I think I prefer it if he took up a visa spot in Australia so we can give another young kiwi some more exposure (Sutton/Waine) so we can flood the league with more kiwi players

Kosta was also a kid who played for an average team (and that's a compliment).

Not a fan of the runner he did on us a few years back, but let's be honest, the Nix did very little to aid his development.

Rojas would work really well in this team - totally agree.

If we were to sign him (won't happen) and he performed 70% as well as he did for MVC, I'd be suprised if we didn't make it to the GF!

Rojas doesn't have the questionable off field behaviour that Kruse had in the past.

Maybe that is what Marco needs ..... to go bad, get drunk, swear at people on the tram, go Berisha at his dad

They are in such a hole they will probably default to building their play around him and kiwi messi will be back with a bang - time to give up on Europe where he will never be able to join a team and be central to their success from the start.Holy shark we are getting old, he'll be 31ish by the end of that contract

Still remember when I found this out - felt like the biggest injustice - I was livid. Oh to be a naive Nix supporter again.

Import out. Import in.

On that note - imagine if coaches counted for an import slot!

Why is it an injustice? You could say that the Phoenix getting access to both Kiwi and Australian players is actually a huge advantage.

Other past or present kiwi A-League imports include: Ridenton, Christie, Brockie, Bertos and Barbarouses. Who have I missed?

Moss, Dura, Crocombe, Roux, Ingham, Ingham, Webster, Smeltz aren't/weren't

Also, erm Archie Thompson lol

Rojas grabs his first goal in the Asian Champions League as the Victory go ahead early against FC Seoul.

A win for Victory will send them through to the next round/knockout stages, a draw will be enough for the Korean side.

He's been in the wars this season and has only been a shell of the player he was too. Hopefully when he comes back he gets a good run and finds some form.

Absolutely shark challenge from Muratovic. Was a really poor turnover from him and to try save face, in a very uncoordinated way, takes out Rojas.

So good to see him getting back to his best. Compared to the wingers used at the recent OFC tournie (Rogerson, Champness and Grieve) Marco is a match winner. When fit he’s still one of our best.

Remember it wasn’t long ago he was playing week in week out in the Danish superliga which we didn’t really give much airtime too until a bunch of other kiwis went over to Scandy.

Marco isn’t just making up the numbers in the A League- he’s one of the very best players in it.

Rojas to re-sign for Victory?

Not the sort of tweet you'd bother with, for someone about to leave your club, you'd think.
