All said and done, Killen's five appearance in the Champions League is no small thing (4 more than Danny, to put it in perspective), so worthy of recognition (even if some were fairly limited sub appearances).
And looking back like this really further emphasises just how much Wynton achieved as a player!! After UEFA Cup appearances at Zurich, he then played UEFA Cup, Cup Winners Cup and Champions League with Werder... if one of our current AWs managed the modern equivalent of that it'd be phenomenal!!
I enjoy pissing off English football supporters by reminding them that a Kiwi has been (joint) top goal-scorer in the Champions League but that no English (or indeed British) player ever has.
(Rufer: 1993-94 joint top-scorer with Ronald Koeman, 8 goals)

Only three Englishmen were ever top goal-scorer in the pre-Champions League, European Cup days before the 1992-93 season.
Four Scotsmen were.
