The Ticketek email refers to individual tickets bought for the final two home games, rather than season passes.

We asked Domey on Twitter for clarification

I got the email, and I haven't bought any match day tickets, only season passes. The email is as confusing as hell

l no they can be rubbish but if your a season pass holder you have tickets for the last 2 games. Pretty obvious their intention with th email. Not a bad effort to have it out so quickly think they deserve some kudos rather than criticism.

The email was rubbish with misleading information. All they had to say was that the remaining games were cancelled, a refund is available for individual match tickets, no refund for season tickets.

BS if your a season pass holder you have tickets to the last 2 games, thus entitled to a refund. Guess they need to make clearer bit worried though that I  understood what they were getting  at not sure a good thing to be on same page as them.

From the latest Newsletter:

Dome says that he has been heartened by the season members who have made contact with the club over the past week to offer their support.

''These are strange and unprecedented times for us and the continuing support of our fanbase over the past few days and going forward into the next few months will be vital for the players, as they adjust to playing in an unfamiliar environment and without a cheering crowd behind them during their matches.

''I would like to thank our fanbase, who have expressed their support of the club – including many wanting to honour their season memberships for the rest of the season which has been extraordinarily helpful.

''It has been very humbling.’’

The Wellington Phoenix are currently considering a range of alternatives for season members affected by the change of schedule, and will be in touch soon to explain the details.

I assume most have seen this but here's an extract from an email sent to members:

Now that we know there won’t be any more matches played at Sky Stadium this season, we are currently finalising some options for our season ticket holders. Our plan is to deliver this to you next week, so please stay tuned for more info.

Thank you again for your support this season; we hope you’ll be right behind us as we take on the rest of the Hyundai A-League and finish what we started – with our eyes firmly on finals football. COYN!

As you may have heard recently, the clubs and FFA are working hard towards a resolution of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season. Our aim – and the league’s aim - is to investigate playing all remaining matches this year from an Australian-based location.

Where there’s still a few challenges to address before this is all confirmed, we’re confident we’ll be able to complete the season; our players are hungry to finish what they started in pursuit of A-League glory.

While this is a great outcome in that it allows our season to be completed, it also confirms that our remaining two home matches will be played outside of New Zealand. As a club we very aware that season ticket holders will not receive their full number of entitled home games in season 2019/20.

In lieu of a cash refund on your season ticket, we have worked hard with some of our wonderfully supportive commercial partners to come up with some options where season ticket holders can continue to show their support for the club in these challenging circumstances. We hope one of Option A or B below will be compensation for the loss of the two home games this season.

To all of the season members who have already reached out to ‘gift’ the remainder of their season membership, thank you so much for your commitment to this club – it’s true football fans like you that will help us get through this unprecedented time.

Your Options:

As a season ticket holder, please choose one of the options below:

OPTION A: Nix Supporter Package

If you choose to donate the remaining two matches in your season package to us, as thanks we’ll provide you with a Nix Supporter Package which includes:

  • Two tickets to the Wellington Phoenix’ first home match at Sky Stadium in season 2020/21, perfect for introducing friends and family to Nix football
  • A complimentary one-month Neon subscription (neontv.co.nz), thanks to our friends at Sky
  • A voucher code for a free Gorillaburger (valued up to $18) when you spend $20 or more at Gorillaburger.co.nz

OPTION B: Nix Prize Draw

If you choose to donate the remaining two matches in your season package to us - but don’t want to receive the Nix Supporter Package - then we’ll instead put you in the draw to win a special prize of a VIP Pass for two people to a Phoenix home match of your choice in the Hyundai A-League 2020/21 Season.

This includes entry to the fabled Chairman’s Lounge at Sky Stadium, complimentary drinks and food, a behind the scenes tour of the stadium and a meet n’ greet with a Nix player.

OPTION C: Refund for Membership Balance

If you choose this option, we will issue you with a full refund for the two unplayed matches at Sky Stadium.

Secondary account holders are also entitled to choose one of these options. Please have these season ticket holders send a separate message to [email protected] and be sure to include first/last name and their current membership number and we’ll be in touch shortly.

PIease click on one of the options by clicking below no later than COB Wednesday 20 May and we’ll be in touch with the next steps. If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll automatically place you into Option B.

Thank you again for your support and we hope to hear from you soon. COYN!

Nice work. Air New Zealand would have retained a lot more goodwill if they'd done something similar to incentivise taking credits instead of outright refusing refunds.

It's not a bad idea to sell them anyway - if the games aren't here, then they can put on events like they did at the end of last season that the tickets gives access to.

Long term (Foundation) memberships for cricket, rugby and football will be a nightmare to keep current if they miss a season.

Dont think its an issue at all whats wrong with setting up some form of membership for those who want to take them up can.  If you choose not to purchase then no problem but you couldnt then expect to still maintain your foundation membership.

Then if we get games back at the stadium they can come out in some package deal.

You'd hope it's like the club membership now where you don't get to go to games but you're still a member.

I got told they still have another batch of e-mails to send out regarding this years memberships, shirt sizes etc.

They must have a lot of members to sort through, That's got to be a good thing I guess.

Could be wrong but think it was only available for a limited time. Bit disappointed in how the club has treated season members this year. Would have thought  quite few  would have loved to express their support by buying a cheaper membership. Didnt need to have a heap of things given away with it maybe just a badge or hat for 35 or 45 dollars.
