I very much enjoyed your result over Spurs. I imagine Alex Iwobi did too.

5 passed Spurs (4 in regulation time) and 3 passed Man U. I think we have our scoring boots back. Hopefully we can stick a few past Fulham this weekend and then Man City midweek before the return Merseyside derby.

And we can't score passed Fulham but can against Man City. I'm lost for words. Fingers crossed Liverpool continue their current league form against us this weekend. Who knows which Everton team will turn up though.

Turns out the good Everton turned up and the rubbish Liverpool continued their form :-)

Not looking good for him. But at least Everton have signed... umm... Andros Townsend and Asmir Begovic?

Oh dear.

Bringing this thread back to life. Gutted with the initial verdict in the FFP investigation. 10 points for non-football impacting financial breach which was effectively one bad signing. Add in Covid, new stadium, Gylfi becoming worthless and an average league finish. Seems excessive. Hopefully the appeal reduces the penalty. Man City and Chelsea should be VERY worried.
One a positive, just got my ticket to the Carabao Cup game v Fulham. Middle of the Glydys St end. UTFT

I guess it shows that nooone is safe, if you screw the pooch on your financial obligations look out. City and Chelsea will be shaking in their boots. City with 115 charges to answer, if 1 is a 10 pount deduction then 115 has to be automatic relegation.

We at QPR didn't get a points deduction, We got a 40 Million Pound find for minor offences. No one else has been fined anywhere near that. I hope Chelsea and City and anyone else get at least a 30 point deduction and or large fine. Everton  is in a small group of minor offenders. Those others should be really hammerd.

City have been charged.  It's wait-and-see whether the charges are proven.

if proven you'd think a punishment 115x worse than Evertons 10 point deduction to be issued. Fines, massive points reduction over multiple seasons.

Meant to say punished. They’re guilty as fudge but won’t be punished.

If by some miracle City and Chelsea manage to sneak their way out of a punishment then Everton have been hard done by and whatever board is making these decisions needs to be investigated for corruption. If 1 financial irregularity equals a 10 point deduction then City should be having all points removed effectively guaranteeing relegation plus a massive fine.

City essentially have the backing of an entire nation state. There's so much power at play that the chance of any meaningful punishment against City is zero.

The investigations and subsequent legal battles will carry on for such time that people will forget about it and not give a fudge. Much like people forgot about the super league sharke from two years ago very quickly. People have short memories and won’t be arsed about a courtroom battle that takes years to reach a conclusion. It will barely end up being a footnote in history.

There are degrees of things.

A guy charged with 114 counts of shoplifting and a ram raid isn’t getting 115 times the punishment of the guy charged only with a ram raid.

Fair, and true. Even if you take that into consideration and only half the charges stick, minimum effect is that City would have 10+ points deducted in whatever season the decision is finally made.

Notts Forest facing charges and Everton with additional ones to defend, seems that the charges against City arae too numerous to make any headway on?
