This time Fano go down 2-0 to Modena are back to 2nd last. Admittedly it's still early times and there's about 7 teams only divided by 7 points, so a couple of wins could see them climb up considerably.

Talk about winning a 6-pointer! Fano with a shocking 4-0 thumping of Carpi overnight. 

Scimia came on in 74th minute, the score was already 4-zip in their favour. 

The new coach is doing quite well. They've had a bunch of draws and a couple of wins since he came on. 

Fano up to 17 and within 6 points of 13.

Scores in 88th min to put Fano 2-1 up at Sambenedettese (5th).

Unfortunately home team scores again in 95th min (pen) to make it 2-2.

Fano remain in the relegation playoff spots - a win would have taken them just clear on GD.

Looks like he'd only come on in the 33rd minute of the second half so just about 19 minutes before he netted one. 

They could really use a win but stil they have a fighting spirit I give them that. I still reckon they have a 40% chance of somehow avoiding relegation! 

Post-match interview with Luca, If you can understand Italian!

Interviewer: "A good reaction [from the team], even with 10 men - and then your goal that gave us a taste of victory"

LS: "Yes, from a personal perspective I'm very happy. Shame about the end of the game, we were almost there and could have taken the 3 points home with us".

Interviewer: "How did you see the game, generally speaking?"

LS: "Even with 10 men we played bravely, we even took the lead. We are very sad about the last few minutes as we could have got the whole three points which at the start of the second half was almost unthinkable.

We are a tight group, one that never gives up. Now let's think about Saturday's game vs Imolese which is a very important match for us".

Interviewer: "Do you want to dedicate your goal to someone in particular?"

LS: "I want to dedicate it to my family - that are always there for me and to my girlfriend".

Not really. More like a Marche/Abbruzzo (around the center of Italy) one... You wouldn't be able to tell he was born in Auckland, same as Kirwan who has a very neat northern Italian accent 

Full game in a resounding loss 3-0 to high flying Sud Tirol (2nd).

Appears to have played in the midfield in a 4-3-3 formation. Fano stay in 17th place.
