Currently 2-0 up over Hannover 96. Half an hour gone.

Top goal... knew exactly what he was doing, made the pass, made the run calling for it to be played back in, only to cut inside his man and slot it home.

Will be interesting what happens when the transfer window opens up and if JR try to sign him or someone else comes in (18 months left on contract). Or maybe Bayern go, you showed us exactly what we wanted come join the first team : )

How Singh moves is quiet a sight! He literally floats over the pitch, beats 6 defenders and the keeper!

Bayern won't call him back to the first team. Still, it's great to see he's finding some form - a team like this is clearly great for his development.

Would be great to see him move to a Bundesliga side, Jahn are doing well but there’s long way to go and they’re a lot smaller than other clubs in 2. Bundesliga like Schalke, Hamburg, Werder. Fürth (once of Marco Rojas loan fame) is a similarly small team that went up last season and are getting bullied at the higher level (1 point from 9 games) so it’s a big jump.

Hoffenheim are stable at that level though and are coached by Sebastian Hoeneß, who was the Bayern II coach when they won the league with Singh playing a key role, so would be a nice place to see him at. Hoeneß of course would have the connections at Bayern to get favour, and has shown he’s happy to sign players from that winning reserve team, as he has signed Chris Richards (loan) and Angelo Stiller this season. Though there’s of course the need to balance being at the highest level possible with game time, as no benefit just sitting on the bench at a Bundesliga club.

Starting as Regensburg travel to last placed Ingolstadt. An excellent chance to cement 2nd place behind and keep on the heels of St Pauli if they can get the victory in this one.

Fresh from laying on a beauty for Woodsy to knock in against Gambia, assist king Singh is back at it for Regensburg. Credited with another assist against Hamburg. That was to square the game up 1-1, but I see Hamburg have once more taken the lead  just before H/T.

16 games across the league & cup so far this season. Has a very healthy return of 5 goals and 6 assists to his name as well.
He's doing everything right if he wants to get a look in back at parent club Bayern.

If he can keep up this red hot form, and those kind of returns, it will do his chances no harm.

Finishes 4-1 Hamburg (6th, 23 pts), with Singh off at 80 mins with score 3-1.

JR down to 4th (25 pts), but it's very tight in the promotion battle. Top 7 teams separated by only 4 points.

Starting as JV (4th) host Dynamo Dresden (13th).

Sometime Socceroo Brandon Borrello & ex Brisbane Roar, starting for Dresden.

See that Singh has a 24 yr old left CB Canadian team mate, who is part of their CONACAF WC qualifying squad. Dressing room banter to start no doubt.

Got another assist apparently, in a 3-1 win.

Singh subbed off at 75 mins, with score 1-1. One goal each for 2 of J-V's subs, and they get up 3-1. Borello got 67 mins for Dresden.

Jahn Regensburg up to 2nd, though Darmstadt & Paderborn with wins tomorrow could put them back to 4th. Will likely be tight in 2. Bundesliga, for months ahead.

Features in early highlights, before being subbed. Standard cross for the assist, and really should have scored as well. 2 chances to his weaker right peg.

Subbed off at 88 mins, in a 3-0 loss at Heidenheim (6th).
Score 2-0 when Singh came off.
Jahn Regensburg
(3rd) had a guy sent off at mins, when down 1-0.

St Pauli (1st) now 6 points clear. But is only 3 points between the 7 teams 2nd-8th, which obviously includes Singh's JR. Bit like the UK's Championship I guess, lot of teams at a similar level, and promotion a tight race all season.

And a goal for Singh in stoppage time.

Unfortunately though it's not enough for Jahn Regensburg as they succumb 3-2 to Werder Bremen at home.

Tough result, but man is Singh putting up some numbers this season.
5 goals/7 assists - 2 Bundesliga (17 appearances)
1 goal/1 assist - DFB Pokal (2 appearances.

If Bayern don't want to give him a look in next season, I'm sure he'll have plenty of suitors lining up ready to take him on board.

On corner duties for the assist (start of highlights), and that trusty left peg for his goal (near end of highlights). Average conditions in the Bavarian sleet.

Unfortunately new Covid restrictions in Germany, and games sans fans again.

This week's Flying Kiwis.

Fifth goal of the season for Singh, at least. Despite the defeat he still contributed a goal and an assist. Plus he achieved another curious milestone as well because usually Singh isn’t on the park to be scoring late goals in stoppage time. Generally he’s already been subbed off by then. But that wasn’t the case here: Singh playing ninety minutes for the first time for SSV Jahn Regensburg.

As such he was able to see out a stat that he’s often flirting with at half-time of his games...
the most distance covered in the match. A breezy 12.1 kilometres. Goal contributions and excessive work off the ball? Coaches gotta love it.

Sadly this defeat drops Regensburg to fourth on the ladder and out of the promotion places. They’ve only taken three points from their last five games. Hardly ideal from Die Rothosen.

Full game as JR (8th) lost 0-2 to Darmstadt (2nd).

2nd goal conceded at 93 mins. JR lost 4 of their last 5 league games.

Is now a month long winter break, hopefully Jahn Regensburg can turn their rut around in 2022, at just over the half way point.

Man he's having an outstanding season so far. Even if Jahn Regensburg had gone off the boil a little in the lead up to the Christmas break, his form overall must make him the first name on the team sheet. Will be interesting to see if he can work his way in to the first team set up at Bayern. If not I have no doubt he'll have some serious suitors from the 2. Bundesliga or perhaps even a club from the Bundesliga proper who may take a chance on an excellent young talent.

So good to see the likes of Singh, Bell and Stamenic come through in Europe. Plenty of years we'll get out of all of those names in the AW's midfield. Exciting times ahead indeed.

Kid's a star, was the best player on the park last night. Absolutely no way he's still in this league come next year.

He assisted the first goal, but his pre-assist for the second was even better, a fantastic cross-field ball that opened the defense

He's everywhere in this 6 min highlight package. His free kicks & corners a constant threat. Could easily have had 3 assists.
