Lot's riding on this game for me tonight, my Mrs introduced me to the newest Gooner, our wee lad Hugo, who was born this morning!
Poor champion's already had his heart broken by the black caps, hoping the Arsenal give him some hope!
and 2 others

Congratulations Brumbys. So she wouldn't let you call him Thierry, Dennis or Romford Pele'?
Is Leno wearing our away kit?

Congrats brumbys! Is that the first? Welcome to a whole new world. You'll love it.
Has everyone heard the old "Lanesra" story? I never knew if it was actually true or not but thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless.

Was at work, had the game running, but couldn't properly assess what was going on and who was dominating etc etc.
White picked up an injury? Farrkkkk
Why were they all so happy for Chambers when he scored? Seems like an inside story from training going on there or somesuch.
Biggest takeaway? Holding got plugs! hahaha I always felt for the lad losing his hair at such a young age, can hardly blame him.

was white's first touch, literally came on they took the corner and he heads it in. Shaky 2-0 win, Leeds never really looked like scoring.

Congrats Brumby. Hope everyone is sleeping easy.

Bar ESR and White that was a very second string team and they seemed to deal with Leeds fairly easily. Good for the others to get a run around and progress in a cup.

Congrats Brumby. Shame you couldn't sneak an Arsenal name in and even had to name him after the Spurs captain though.

Watched the first half hour live on the train this morning and the rest at lunchtime on the Bein app.
Given the length of time left on the stream I was convinced it was going to penalties so couldn't fully enjoy the goals as I was expecting a fudge up to come. Turns out it wasn't even post game analysis, it was just 50 minutes of music with the Bein sports logo on the screen tacked onto the end of the stream.

Ha! Yes, Mrs clocked that way ahead of time so didn’t even get that onto the shirt list for a giggle.

Absolutely our first, send coffee!

I think the Chambers thing was a mixture of inside story/only being on the pitch for 23 seconds.

Chambers was the feature of an athletic article talking about the use of stats in training and how players like him are staying match fit without getting minutes. ‘Twas fascinating.

Apparently Arteta said to him "go out there and score with your first touch" and he did.

Haven't really paid much attention to the league table so far since we've been so far out of everything but just had a proper look. Interesting that relegation threatened and meme club Arsenal are level on points with title challengers Man United and only 1 point behind North London's best team Spurs. It's a funny old game sometimes and amazing how quickly things can change.

Cracking 3 points today. Ramsdale with one of the best performances by an Arsenal keeper I’ve ever witnessed.

Oh and Sunderland at home in the next round of the Carabao cup. Happy days.

Ramsdale an absolute star today, top draw saves to keep us in control. First half we dominated but the energy/effort levels dropped off in he second, unfortunatey the substitutions didnt change anything too much, Odegaard for Lacazette made sense but was largely ineffective.
Tomiyasu looked good again, as did Partey, Smith-Rowe and Lacazette (happy for him that he got the start).

Got to be happy sitting 6th, equal on points with 5th and 4th. Especially after the start we had, 3 losses, no goals, and no points.

Anyone else absolutely loving Ramsdale at the moment?

Did you catch the moment in the 2nd half where he went long with the home fans behind him and as soon as he lashed it turn around to them and got straight into the chanting with them? Absolute lad backing his banter up with peak performances.

Ramsdale has been awesome. We all questioned the signing but got to hand it to Arteta and the coaches, they've got this one right so far. How good will it be to have England's number 1 again?
To be fair to Arteta, despite the limitations he has as a head coach so far, one thing he does seem to be good it as is picking a player judging by his signings so far.

I was in England for the end of the 89/90 season and start of the 90/91 season. At the end of the 89/90 season, it was revealed that we were trying to sign David Seaman and it didn't go down well with the Arsenal fans as John Lukic was very popular at the time. When Arsenal went to QPR that season, the travelling Arsenal fans sang "You'll never play for Arsenal"
The rest is history. Hopefully Ramsdale turns out just as good.

There are definitely a few parallels with Seaman, love it.
You have to think that Ramsdale is going to be deep in the england squad soon.
Pickford is far from untouchable, one back up is on the bench at ManU, and the other back up is in the championship.
I would expect him to be no.2 and challenging for no.1 by season's end barring injury.

Big weekend. We had opportunities to push on after the Spurs result that we didnt take, with those draws against Brighton and Palace. Now here we are again, after a great result at Leicester, with potentially an opportunity to go 4th, assuming West Ham and ManU can't beat Liverpool and Man City respectively. Watford at home is easier than Brighton/Palace, this is about the team's mentality, their follow through after a good result.
It would be a huge boost to the squad's confidence if they could finish this round in the top 4. It could well be short-lived with Liverpool up after that, but I still feel it's important mentally, and there is an extended break between these two games for them to reflect on the season so far.
Massive must-win.

I'm a big fan of Serie A and have been wondering how long it would take until Vlahovic is linked to a epl club. The kid is amazing and would be an awesome addition. But I seriously doubt that we've reached any agreement with Florentina for him

That’s some huge money! I was reading a rather spurious report that January would see us sell Eddie & Lacazette, go get Jovic from RM on loan, and buy Belotti from Torino who is in the same spot as Laca/Nketiah in terms of contract.

That was much less enjoyable than last week but I’ll take it. Josh King is clearly understudying Deeney. I liked this from Arseblog;

“Should we sympathise? Well, if Watford actually had an injury, rather than a lad lying on the turf trying to get the referee’s attention in a bid to kill our momentum, then maybe. As it was, by the time the ball was hoofed off the pitch by Rose, the Turk was already on his feet and fine. So, no. Screw them.”

yeah, Watford players were certainly making the most of any contact from our lads. That along with the diving for fouls really annoys me. I wish players would just give it up. Helps now that refs aren't really buying into it too much.

He's usually pretty reliable from the spot, but there's been 2 good saves. It happens and at least they have been saved and not Beckham'd into row Z. Probably went a bit down the middle this time with the previous one in still in his head.
Lacazette is probably the better penalty taker but maybe like Henry doesn't like taking them when he has won them. Or given how he was clattered for this morning's one he probably wasn't up to taking it immediately.

Anyway ridiculous to think how quickly we've gone from having relegation talked about to now being just 6 points off the leaders and with a gap opened up above title challengers United and Spurs. We always get smashed at Anfield so don't expect it to happen, but crazy to think we'd actually go above them with a win next game. How long since that last happened?

Just goes to show how much fans constantly overreact to every single result/signing etc.
Things change quickly. Teams we think are not up to much can become title winners very quickly.
Title winning teams can become absolute rabbles very quickly.
