If the Inghams don't look against this mob, let's never select them again.
Hopefully Lewis starts. Not sure why he wasn't involved this morning.

An excelent chance to score two or more goals against non-OFC opposition for the first time since 2014
Another thrashing coming up.

To be fair, we should have done that against the Kenyans.
No excuses against Chinese Taipei

Better.
Better.
All Whites debut coming tonight for Liberato Cacace #NZLvTPE
Am in Mumbai about to head to the game. Nice evening if a bit humid. Hopefully the rains stay away. Blue skies above me so fingers crossed.
Will be good to see these young guys pick up a win. As to the Doyle argument, who had heard of him when he was Dane's age? I certainly hadn't.

Gulley - Boxall - Doyle - Cacace
Howieson - TAHW
J. Ingham - Singh - Cameron
Bevan
That's the formation I've guessed from the starting XI. Excited to see what Cacace can do at this level

Someone on the forums during the last match thread said something about how the little black tags on the back of our shirts makes every player look like they have a little rats tail. I'm finding it hard to support my team with this information.
toothless up front
Jeez Singh has delivered some beautiful crosses this game, deserves an assist or two. He can cross, he can shoot from distance, he can dribble, what can the guy not do!?
Really needed a young out-and out striker to bring along with us, heck, even Watto, just to have someone who's primarily there for scoring goals.

Is Singh number 22? He just messed up a golden opportunity, not quite the finished product yet if that's the case.
Edit: He also just won a penalty so what do I know.
Well we look like the better team, we look more organised and player for player are better however the best description would be competent. We really do lack a couple of players with a bit of an x factor both in the middle of the park and up front
...even Watto, just to have someone who's primarily there for scoring goals.
It's too early for this sorcery.
1-0, Myer Bevan converts the penalty, only a couple of minutes left in the first half.
Credit to Taiwan, pushing us. My opinion on Bevan’s changed a lot since the U20 World Cup, don’t think he cuts it compared to others around him but he’s the best we’ve got right now.
Ref waves away a penalty call then gifts Chinese Taipei two soft fouls in succession...
AW's can't get on the ball so far in the second half, getting frustrated and giving away silly fouls. As a supporter I am also getting pretty frustrated. Billingsley on for Bevan and Lewis on for Cameron.
Horrifying game
As far as I can tell Gulley just recieved a yellow after completely missing another player in a tackle. Yeah his foot was high but he pulled out and there was no contact. Not sure what the ref is on.
Edit: And the ref misses a (another?) clear penalty as Billingsley is taken out by the opposition keeper after nudging the ball past....
Brotherton for Doyle (I think), Payne for Singh and Mitchell for Ingham. Hopefully the changes can awaken this dire game.
God this is fudgeing terrible. I'm going to bed.
Fudgeing christ I don't even care anymore, me too
At least we win

Well, I guess we will have another chance in 2022 against Leshoto
As the only kiwi fan at the game, comments above about sum it up. I was sat with a couple from Taiwan so that was fun. The officials were atrocious and at the end of the game there was an all in fight, not sure if that made tv.
I can't see too many of the players who were out there today paying much in the future for the AWs or being offered a Nix/pro contact. Gully and Singh were easily our two best players but Billingsly, what a donkey. Cameron was overweight and not much better either. Singh was MoM and the few Indians here were all asking why he wasn't playing for them!
Was a shocking foul (pen) on us by their keeper towards the end that was waved on when we would have scored and Gully being booked for not touching a player was madness too.
The India/NZ game has sold out so should be quite an atmosphere. Their first game only had 300 there, crazy for a city of 20 Mil, especially as tickets were cheap, 100 rupees ($2) for a normal seat and the "posh" seats 500. A shout out on Twitter after an Indian player achieved his 99th cap changed it all, NZ will be 100 or so I'm told.
It seemed there were more crows at the ground then fans and no booze at the stadium and no pub/shop nearby too.
How did Cacace go?

N Boxall did a good job in defence. Not impressed with C Lewis's thuggish tackle when he first came on. Singh did well again. Keeper did well but under little pressure.
How did Cacace go?
Looked like a player with a professional contract compared to most others on the pitch, though still a bit rough around the edges. Did some of his 'trademark' runs cutting inside toward goal and looked dangerous on occasion. Defending was good enough but got done for speed a couple of times.
but Billingsly, what a donkey. Cameron was overweight and not much better either. .
Considering he's trying to get his career going the right way after an ACL injury, I thought Cameron was better than I was expecting.
I wouldn't say overweight either, if anything, Lewis looked like he'd been hitting hot dogs as he's gained a few pounds.
Cameron was at the forefront of what caused the penalty and made some decent runs, but it wasn't anything impressive.
The only player on the park I wasn't impressed with was definitely Billingsley, yeah he's a brute force going forward, but his touch honestly reminds me of AFF Men's Division 12 standard.
Mind you, these guys are young, so expecting a better performance against India, but a loss (As India are legit the only team with a full strength side playing age group sides...almost)
A win for the FIFA rankings yeah!.

Boxall gave it away sharkloads didn’t he?
I remember a long time ago we hired a very good coach in Bobby Clarke but the problem was that after a year he still hadnt had a chance to have a team play some games so he left to have an excellent career in US football coaching.
Watching the new coach I for some reason remembered Clarke, the look on his face at times was one of wtf am I doing here?
Although Bobby Clark did take the All Whites on the tour to South America in 1995 with some good opponents and performances

He also played a key part in opening up the US university route option for Kiwis
