Ramon thanks

Why would he leave his cushy job to work for a bunch of numptys and probably get paid less?

Because he wants it.

funny to think that just over a year/18 months ago I was against Ramon for the top job.  Now I wish he had been given it as soon as Ricki stepped down in 2013.

Next FIFA international window for friendlies March 21-29 2016: two match days:

There is a FIFA international window 21 - 29 March 2016 with two match days:

http://es.fifa.com/mm/Document/WorldFootball/Calen...

No doubt the All Whites will play then.

Most of the squad play in leagues that finish two - four weeks before the OFC Nations Cup on May 28, so there will be time for friendlies in May outside the FIFA window too.

i've been disappointed with ramon's tactical setup at ACFC this season.  despite possessing the best XI players in the league, they struggle to retain possession in advanced areas.  the 'possession' football he talks about doesn't really count for much when you just move forward and back and side to side between defence and midfield.  a good team would frequently hit the front 3 near the oppositions penalty box even if it meant coming back out again, but i haven't seen that from ACFC

for me, the jury's out on him, but less so than that fella with the seven day stubble and pointy shoes

I don't think its that Reg but there is an issue there.

What I have seen in the 2 games I have watched on TV is lack of ball speed. Against HBU, they were so slow in getting the ball around, that it allowed HBU to just shuffle across the field so Iwata and White had no room once they got the ball. Against Waitakere was much the same.

If I were ACFC, I would focus on ball speed when moving the ball around and that will allow them to exploit those holes as they appear.

Put it this way, the WaiBOP TW game was a hell of a lot faster than both ACFC games.....

it sure was and i liked the way both teams were willing to play the ball forward

and i totally agree with what you are saying about the ball speed.  i thought they moved the ball better in the opening 10 minutes against hawkes bay, but it soon became very slow and predictable

Maybe Nix Ressies will give them a hurry up. Hope so. But doubt it.

No such game is scheduled.

There were rumours a month ago but no such game was arranged.
