Some of the football journos may have been having an earned festive break like most folks!  Plus with such an unaccustomed flood of recent AWs games, maybe the football public/media have got a touch apathetic!! Like most international football fans about friendlies.

But thanks for some background info Carlind, on Uzbeks & Jordan. As neither have many European based players like a Curacao or even Gambia - profile, familiarity & interest level perhaps a little bit lower than Oct-Nov games?

Though plenty of intrigue in how AWs go, and who Hay picks.

Edit - 2 guys from the Nix. Payne & Mcgarry? Or Lewis if Bell and/or Stamenic by chance are unavailable? Or Elliott as that RB slot is still wide open, and in Fenton Talay has a capable alternative.
Also I note Niko Kirwan's promotion chasing Padova play through the Jan window (2-3 Serie C games), so he'll be under some pressure to skip the AWs this time.

Hopefully Ryan Thomas is now fit enough to have some involvement in the UAE.
