A thought has occurred to me.

The WC is being played in December and not June because it is too hot in June at that part of the World

Yet they are playing all the qualifying play off games there in June.  Surely it will be too hot?

Big difference between one game in the air conditioned stadiums vs an entire group stage, knockouts and training in the open. But yeah, the heat will probably still be pretty rough

It will likely be mid 30s to 40 degrees Celsius day time. Even walking around in that will be very unpleasant. “Low” of about 30 at night

Presumably all trainings and games will be in air conditioned stadia.
