If the AW's don't win their WC playoff game, will the tickets still sell? If they do qualify though, they're part of a big gravy train so why charge "home" fans so much??
We should be playing Aussie every other year for an ANZAC Cup or something.

With Asian Cup qualifying, Asian Cup itself plus AFC World Cup qualifying, the Socceroos don't have many free windows in a 4 year WC cycle.
And when they do Football Australia target landing a big fish nation friendly. They have played England, Germany, Netherlands all in the last 10 odd years from memory. Some more than once maybe. They were going to play in the Copa America in either 2020 or 2021 (cancelled with Covid).
They just don't want to play us, in the limited free windows they have. Though if AWs push them in Sept, or even forbid beat a full strength Socceroos they could reconsider. Esp now with UEFA Nations League, meaning big Euro teams will seldom be available for friendlies moving forward.
