North Macedonia famously knocked Italy out of WC qualifying, last year. So yes they are no mugs. But they play Ukraine (14th Oct) 1st game in that Oct window, so not available to play against the AWs.

However Montenegro (play 18th Oct, 2nd game in the window) are yes available, for a game a few days prior the Socceroos, who we play the 17th Oct. 

Otherwise Syria or Uzbekistan could fancy a game at a neutral European venue. They have both drawn the Socceroos in their Asian Cup pool for early next year. Uzbeks are off to the USA for some friendlies in September (US & Bulgaria) - so they don't mind a bit of travel
