Cheers AV.

Looks like the 2027 Gold Cup is unfortunately now staying at only 16 teams with Saudi an invitee

If as rumoured the Gold Cup did expand to 24 teams in 2029, and most of the other Confeds are busy with some sort of competitive game scheduling that June (12 mths pre the WC), then the AWs are at least a chance of an invite. We have a recent history of turning up in Nth America, being competitive but mostly yes losing. That might be a perfect fit for the organisers.

We would though jbring very limited commercial value or travelling fans.

AFC announced plans last Decemer to launch a Nations League, but it's been silence since. And the FIFA news this week could further delay any new development there.

CAF is having it's AFCON go from biennial to 4 yearly, with a Nations League divisional schedule to fill that gap. So will join CONCACAF & UEFA with Nations Leagues.
