Judging off league level isn’t ideal - Bindon is a better football player than Surman.

He’s is in the form of his life, and is a monumentally better ball-player than Surman. Reading aren’t struggling anymore, btw, and Bindon’s play has been central to their resurgence (potentially being their best player through the stretch). He also has more experience as a LCB and has a better weak foot. Complements Boxall far better
