TBF this season has been far and away Payne’s best at RB. He’s been encouraged to get forward and a strong defensive midfield has covered his runs to great effect.
Last game he almost scored a header from the centre of the 6 yard box! You know CF territory.
And I wasn’t joking that statistically he’s been better attacking than Irankunda, plus he’s done a lot of defending too.
Though likely the AWs won’t provide bodies in the box for him to pass to and won’t cover him sufficiently from the midfield so the impact of his play will be reduced…
