If we think he won't ever get a call up from those other countries then surely we can put our foot down, say commit if you want to be able to play for us and to have a shot at playing at a World Cup, or you can fudge off.
He hasn't done shark to deserve special treatment. Chris James was also a big star at Fulham youth level (though I do think he wasted his career and he should have been given more chances to play for the All Whites given how good he was in a white shirt).
