Not sure why people take much interest in what Wood said post game. What would say about your boss when publicly asked and you're sitting next to them at a time. Football is a small community and you never know when you might cross paths with someone again. So it's relatively rare for players to talk badly about their current or former coach. That's why I never read too much in what players use to say about Hudson.
But when players like Moss, Durante, Smeltz & Falloon all retire and still praise Huddo - that has some credence. Moss could have had a real axe to grind with the English coach who dropped him as AWs keeper, and was heading off Stateside, never to be seen in NZ again. But he didn't.
Could it just be that, those inside the AWs tent know a shark load more than the fans feeding off Hudson's silly public gaffes. Though to be fair all he had to majorly do, was bring a semblance of some level of organised professionalism to the setup, after the shambles of Ricki's last year in 2013.
But the US National coach seems to rate Huddo, and I imagine he's more clued up than most AWs fans.
