Some of these crosses have not been good at all; Wood looks in the mood, just hasnt had the service

Rojas needs to get on it far more too

Here's a poorly developed thought for you all to chew over.

Is it possible to divide the All Whites of modern times into periods established by the prevailing player development methodology in NZ?

Thinking about the timeframe where most of the relevant All Whites were junior players:

2005-2011: a strong period for the AWs...many players came from the old rep/club system which was prevalent in the 80s and 90s.

2011-2015: a weak period for the AWs...the 'new' players came out of the centralised FTC/NTC system which was the only game in town during the early 2000s

2016-now: the AWs are beginning to strengthen again and we're seeing the emergence of players who have come out of a post-NTC/FTC system which has a lot of different, competing, privately-funded Academy systems and a revived NZFC.

As I said...haven't really thought this one through in detail. It has some holes in it. But interesting I think.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

don't get the Lewis' deal, invisible in the attack, very light for the marking... the guy just run, a lot

Wow, haven't seen that before, throw retaken 30 seconds later, saving Reid a yellow card.

Is this grass temporarily laid on turf?  Cutting up something chronic.

Oops, and as I type Patterson illustrates my point!

It's part of the Dyer deal - two-for-one non international class internationals.

I can't get a stream to work due to sharke Thai broadband.  Are we playing pants, it sounds like it from these comments.  Also is Wood captain?

Playing okay, dominated the first half until a goal against the run of play. Just a couple of howlers, to both teams to be fair.

We look ready to fly home now

Fenton, Brotherton and Dyer have all collectively reduced our football to zilch

I thought we were very good and aggressive breaking up the play but struggled a bit with the ball

You got a free like there - was trying to quote.  I was going to say that we still have a few people trying to play, and it's not over yet, but that looks very 'hindsight is 20/20' as Patterson has just scored, so i'll just say congrats to Patterson on his maiden goal.

Yep, a bit more untidy on the ball than the Mexico game - the US are a bit more structured than Mexico and I think we are finding it harder to find passing lanes through.
