Watch the ball not the man...the bloody ball was at the defenders feet but he was too busy watching the man.

Two world cups in a row, PARK THE MOTHER FUCKER BUSS DOESNT WORK, HOPE WOOD

LOVED SITTING ON THE BENCH FOR HALF THE MATCH.

No, Peru will sit back and defend this 2-goal lead. 'There's nothing more dangerous than leading by two goals'. (Johnny Warren).

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

FFS why wasn't Wood starting?

He would struggle playing a full game, tatical from Hudson

I don't believe that, I think it's Hudson playing clever. Wood doesn't look like a man with a tight hamstring. And even if true, surely you start him annd see how long he lasts. Bringing him off the bench might mean you get less minutes out of him than you otherwise could have

I don't know that we will ever find out, but I would love to know just how injured Wood actually is.

Gonna need to be 8 minutes of injury time.  Going to be a LOT of stoppages for the next 20 minutes.

Just one bloody All Whites goal now completely rocks Peru's world.

Still time to score two

When have we scored two against a non OFC team recently?  Last WC play off I think, not at all under Hudson.

Where was the foul there?

Under reported story of this game is that the referee is afraid to make any slightly difficult decision.

We have to hope, we're live right now. Four years is a long way off.

Two goals from us, no more from them, we go through.

The commentators are already saying, 'If Peru can hold on...'

Brockie for Dura - aggresssive.

Do people genuinely think Hudson would choose to not play Wood even if he was fully fit?

If you're fit enough to come on at half time you're fit enough to start

Peru defenders holding, tugging pulling (and good on them as the ref doesn't have the bottle to do anything about it).

On the bright side he's ignored their dives/theatrics.

If you're fit enough to come on at half time you're fit enough to start

And play until half time?

If Hudson said it was tactical, then yeah...redefines tactical.

Its clear we're going home.  The English commentator on my stream said that "NZ has shown nothing over the two legs against Peru".  I have to agree with him there.

Good bye Hudson.

I also imagine that this is Durante's last game in White and I don't expect we'll see Fallon or Dyer in an AW squad again either.
