When even the commentators are suggesting ideas to fix Hudson's fudge ups, you know your coach ain't too good

frustrating. we can't get fluency. But they do seem to foul us when we counter.

And the half chances we've had have lacked composure. Smeltz has it, but not the legs.

Lets hope we string some passes together in the second half.  Its like we are a cpl yards slower then the Russians

Hudson is so deluded that even these yanks can work out what he's doing wrong!

As the commentator said... we have not offered a great deal.

We have won the ball a little further up the park towards the end of the half, however, we are just to careless with our passing and have nothing going through the middle. We are lumping it long and Wood is too tightly marked and we are too light in the middle to win the scraps with our midgets playing in the middle..

We need Tuiloma on for Rojas, gets Barbs and Thomas to play as a a wide 3 on attack and see if we can isolate their fullbacks and get one on one.

We've had about 3-4 chances to break or get a shot on. Not seeing our team mates or snatching at chances. Crumbs really, but we need one to stick.

Don't know if we can really blame Hudson, bar for Tuiloma not being on the park. Our players touches have been poor and our passing wayward. Players needs to be better first and foremost.

Marinovich is not winning me over one iota.

I can see how the plan could work. The players have looked skittish, Ryan Thomas aside I'd say, in the moments of half-chances. Wood blazing a long way over. Marinovic hasn't been assured. Rojas has dribbled down blind alleys and missed chances to keep the ball alive...There has been no slick combination play and the keeper hasn't been tested.

Watching ITV, and they've pretty much stated every gripe that we have here; not forcing ourselves into long ball, Wood being on his own, playing like a coherent team, etc, coming up with solutions too. Though they might not be right, i'd take anything over long ball

Well 0-1 at half time is not carnage!!!!

However, how about

Defenders getting tighter on their marking, how about the little guys stop pretending they are Messi and dribbling through the defense.....get your heads up and look to slide a pass(rojas in particular) how about someone bringing the ball down and playing with on the deck, how about getting Tuiloma on so we have someone to contest in midfield

Apart from that we are going great...LOL

We are pressing OK but our shape is too narrow.....the wingbacks are getting no protection

Smith looks ponderously slow. Marinkovic is very sloppy in his play.....he's no Paston or Moss thats for sure.

Russia are no great shakes.....if we can keep them tight we might nick a goal and get a 1-1......or we will stop running and they will bang in 3 more

Need Rory Fallon here to help out Chris Wood, but not a chance, but we still get Smeltz to help out Chris Wood in the second half. As long as we are 0:1 down we still have a chance, Rojas was very quiet, wake him up please.

Norwich City supporter since 1992, New Zealand supporter since 2010 but without Rory Fallon's winning goal against Bahrain, I won't know about New Zealand Football.

Tuiloma should be starting ahead of Rojas I'd say. He's good, but not near his best

Colvey a weakness in the team

Booting it long to Wood's pretty pointless in the end because he always ends up heading it into the stratosphere

Thomas impressive again.

I wonder if the person who does the croud numbers here is the same one as at the stadium. Because for a 'sell out'....there are an awful amount of empty seats...
