Yeah much as I love Libby, Feyenoord is a bonafide big club and Bos on debut started with a bit of a bang there. Provided the late winning assist in a UCL qualifiers win over Mourinho's Fenerbahçe. Like Cacace, Bos started out in Belgium.

I'm a bit worried about the AWs right flank, against the Socceroos. Payne still far from being fully match fit and sharp, plus Elliott I don't really rate that highly. I wouldn't be shocked if Bindon again got some mins at RB.

Poppa often likes Aiden O'Neill (NY City in the MLS) as one of his midfielders. Ajdin Hrustić is still pretty classy, and Poppa might pick him as he seems over his injury issues. And I wouldn't rule out Hibs wily Martin Boyle from starting.

Matt Ryan has yes just signed with promoted Levante in La Liga.

However I do think the Aussie football public will be surprised by how good we are now, and the quality of clubs our players are at. I reckon a 50% chance of getting at least one draw from the two games. Higher chance at home at Mt Smart, when Ryan Thomas is likely to get more mins you'd think.

The two matches in 2022, plus Brentford 2023, the AWs were virtually toothless. So creating chances and scoring will in itself be a huge improvement.
