It's comments like this that shows me the disconnect between NZF and the general footballing community...
"I would like to thank the staff of New Zealand Football who have worked tirelessly over the past four years to deliver some outstanding achievements, under sometimes trying circumstances. Football in New Zealand is in good health because of them and they remain undeterred to do a good job for the sport they love."
There has long been a 'them' and 'us' feel which has been fed down to the federations as opposed to a 'we'.
NZF exist because of football, not the other way around.
If someone at the top can ever change this mindset, we (collectively) can help football to become a pretty amazing sport in this country!
