Don't hold your breath for massive change. Despite the usual bitching and moaning of the NZ football community, not a great deal is wrong with the organisation. Sure a few notable issues with selection of people in key positions but nothing spectacular gin terms of organisational governance.
The whole football ferns thing came down to choosing the wrong guy - which can be touch and go anyway given who we are, where we are, and the constraints we work under. It was compounded by making the same guy the coach of the ferns and that proved to be fatal, but even though against FIFA guidelines, made sense if we were trying to save money. Most of us/you bitch and moan at the increasing number of fish heads we employ anyway. The fax not being watched thing is a little oversight that was more than likely down to an office level oversight/ignorance. Anyway Martin has gone as payment for those sins.
Some quite major "wins" from the organisation - the whole equality thing, the near qualification for the world cup, there was some award in there too for the way they ran the show.
There will be some gradoise statements made and recommendations from the reviewer to show she has made a difference and Heraf will probably go to a new job somewhere before the review comes out. Then we will be back to normal, we'll hire a couple of new people and we can all go back to bitchinv about we should of hired so and so because they are either local and understand the kiwi psyche or should of been foreign because we ard too entrenched in the methods of British football etc etc yawn....
