It is nice to go in 3-1 at halftime against a team like Slovenia and feel like we are playing below the standards we've set though, isn't it.

It'll be interesting to see how they respond, especially with changes no doubt being made.

This is a good wake up call, but if we keep shipping goals then we've got a problem.

I thought the same and replay just confirmed it.

Again I'm not expert but as you say, there was the wall, then a guy outside the wall that jumped, but the ball went around that guy (not under his feet on the jump) and still in. Not a lot of curve.

We haven't shipped goal,

The first was a cracker, nothing we could do, and the other two the keepers fault. Our D is doing ok, the keeper is making them look bad because we have had 3 against us, None of which you can blame anyone for except Paston.

I'm pleased with how we are looking. We are trying to play and creating chance. We could easily get the next goal and be right back in this.

Also, Slovenia only conceeded 4 goals in quaifying and we've looked likely to score a few. Thats impressive!

We have warm-up games for a reason. I'm happy with the lesson learned and being learned today.

vs. Australia - don't fall asleep; game isn't over until the ref says.

vs. Slovakia - holding onto an early lead and maintaining it to win

vs. Slovenia - keeping focus (or losing it) in the face of dirty decisions that put us on the back foot. Staying strong in the face of adversity. Taking (and missing) chances.

I'm on bet365.com, although it's halftime, and I'm only getting stadium noise during the break. Had commentary during first half.

First half positives for Aw's
Pushing forward well, tall timber up front troubling their defence, nice fallon goal, close efforts for Smeltz and Wood.
Negatives, too often hard fought possession given away from poor passing, loose defence and ...who pissed the ref off in the tunnel on the way out?
He's the Slovenian 12 man today.

This is a good lesson, good teams at the world cup take the chances they are given. It would be good if we kept the same team on to see how we handle it now. Thias could end up being a rout or we could battle it out. The type of stuff we's like to know before the world cup. Perhaps we'll go tot he bench though without finding out.
