Yeah! Go punch a wall and curse that the ABs only won by 14 instead. You should be angry not crying with joy,or are you a non-nzer who doesnt love rugby?

Congratulations to Piney.  Just listened to his commentary last night and it actually made me cry.

It was an excellent commentary, including the mayors bit....

How long have you supported football?

Since 9:15 this morning.

Good one Mayor P. and if the AW's had of lost last night you should still have inviuted them, you made your self sound like you will only support winners.

That aside, Jason, Daniel etc gave an excellent commentary and clarifyed a lot of what looked questionable and we didn't get the replays.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I had to try hold back the tears when we Fallon scored (so much emotion!) and especially when Pasty saved the penalty! Emotional night! Still buzzing!

I had my son and grandson at the game and I thought how lucky I was to enjoy that game with them before I kark it (which I may well have done if it had gone to extra time). Tears....no..but emotion in abundance..spread my ashes in the stadium when I go....

Just a normal weekend then?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I was welling up every time I thought of what I missed out on when I had to sell my ticket.

Still, my ticket went to a good home and I know he had a great time.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Spot on. If you didn't have a tear in your eye after that on Saturday, there's something seriously wrong with you.

No grandchildren yet, but it was great to share the occasion with my son and heir. My late father took me to my first rugby test (1971 Lions), and that is a great memory, but not half as significant as Saturday night will be.

Coming from Glasgow I know all about the Partick Sizzle, I actually worked alongside a Thistle supporter for 5 years, he was a lovely guy too.  Thinking of all the neat guys I'd have loved to have shared that game with........well all right then ,tears it is.

I was in tears on Sunday morning, reading in the paper about Kevin Fallon crying before the game. I share his passion. My wife thought I was tragic. She just doesn't get it...

I was in tears when I thought my wife had biffed my programme collection, when looking to put away my prized NZ v Bahrain match programme. I thought it was goodbye to my Australia v Uruguay 2001 WCQ Playoff, my 2001 Hibs v Celtic Scottish Cup Final, the 2001 Hibs 125th anniversary programme, the first ever Phoenix matchday programme and many more Hibs and A-League programmes. Crisis averted when they were found at the bottom of the photo albums box - phew!.

I was at the game with 2 other Scots - and we were jumping around crazy at the end as if we were in the middle of the tartan army watching the boys in navy blue.

Great night - never to be forgotten.

Not bad on the night, TV3 news last night did some damage though.

Incidentally, love the goal and the penalty save coverage and how the cameras move when every one leaps up.

Hi Jag,
Where do you sit at the Phoenix games? I'd like to meet another Jags supporter so I can say I've actually met two in my lifetime. I've got a season ticket to Aisle 24, row AA, Seats 180/181, not sure if I'll be at the next game though, could be working                                                         Petershill, now there is a club of great repute, Easy the Peasy

Ah, my friend, sadly I moved out of Welly before the Nix moved in. I get down to as many games as I can and I'm hoping to get down for the Sydney game next month. I can usually be found propping up the bar in the BB prior to the game.

The Peasy, eh? I was a Pollok man. I played with Arthurlie, about 200 years ago!

Anyway, back on topic.............
